Photography Competition

Have you taken a great photograph of your garden, or a favourite flower or animal, or perhaps a lovely garden you have visited?

Then why not enter our photography competition?

For the eighth year running we are seeking wonderful original photographs of flowers, plants, gardens, flora and fauna, to be made into the Webbs 2013 calendar, produced in aid of our nominated local charities – Acorns, Kemp, Mary Stevens, Primrose and St Richard’s Hospices.

Judging will take place in the middle of June 2012 and the 12 winning entries will be featured in the calendar, with each winning photographer credited.

The 12 winning entries will each receive Webbs gift vouchers worth £30 and 12 copies of the calendar.

‘Donate, Don’t Dump Day’ In aid of Acorns Hospice

Thursday 17th May

Help your local charity to raise much needed funds to enable them to carry out their invaluable work in the community. Bring along at least one GOOD QUALITY item you no longer want/need and put it directly in to the Webbs van in the car park. We will then take all donations direct to the charity warehouse where everything will be sorted and taken to their shops for selling.

10am – 5pm

Wildlife Weekend

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May : 11am – 4pm

Meet local wildlife experts and discover how you can encourage and look after the wildlife in your garden.

Do your bit for wildlife!

Whether you’ve got a window box or a large garden, it doesn’t take a lot to make space for wildlife in your garden. Experts from Wildlife World, RSPB and The Worcestershire Wildlife Trust will be on hand to answer all your wildlife questions.

Visit our Garden Plants area and discover the large range of Bee and Butterfly-friendly plants available to get you garden buzzing!

We have a range of exciting activities throughout the weekend!

Kid’s Nest Box Decorating

Children get the chance to decorate a wooden nest box and then take it home for the garden
11am – 4pm, £4.99
Buy your tickets, on the day, from the tills.

Funtastic Fantasy Faces

Children can become anything or anyone they want, from fairies, to animals to superheroes!
11am-4pm, £2.50 per child

Wildlife Riverside Ramble

Children can follow a fun trial around the Riverside Gardens and all correct entries will go into a draw to win a prize!
11am – 4pm FREE

Fair Rides

Have fun on some favourite rides for youngsters.
11am – 4pm £1.50 per ride

Dogs for the Disabled

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May

Meet this life-transforming charity who create exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially trained assistance dogs.
